Over the past few weeks I’ve changed my hair routine a little bit and tried out a hair trend called «Reverse Washing». This means, I wash my hair in reverse: I first apply conditioner and then shampoo my hair. But why would I do that? How «Reverse Washing» works This method works best for people with fine, thin or oily-prone hair – like me! My hair is quite fine, doesn’t have a lot volume and tends to get oily quickly. Hair conditioner often makes this «problem» worse. But why would I do that?
After trying it for a while I have to say: For me it really works! My hair feels lighter and looks a little more voluminous. At the same time, it’s still nourished and shiny. Another benefit: I managed to stretch my hair washing routine from every second day to every third day (with a little help from my friend «Dry Shampoo» of course).
I don’t think «Reverse Washing» works for all hair types (especially not for dry or very thick hair). But I’d definitely recommend you to try it if you’re a) very curious b) not satisfied with your current hair routine or c) you have (very) thin, fine or oily-prone hair. Of course I can’t guarantee it’ll work for you, but why not give it a try
